As part of Get the Nation Learning Week, Alison Morris, Director of Policy at Skills Federation, spoke with Daisy Hooper from Lantra and Andy Hall from ScreenSkills about how employers are fostering a culture of lifelong learning and supporting workforce development in a rapidly changing economy.

The discussion highlights how lifelong learning is becoming increasingly important as industries adapt to new technologies, automation, AI and the transition to net zero. Both the land-based and screen sectors emphasised the need for flexible learning opportunities that allow people to upskill, reskill and progress throughout their careers.

A key theme throughout the conversation is the vital role of sector skills bodies in connecting employers, training providers and policymakers.
