National Technical and Vocational Subject Teaching Professional Development Programme (TVPD)
Skills Federation is a partner in the Association of College’s (AoC) delivery of the government-funded National Technical and Vocational Subject Teaching Professional Development Programme (TVPD).
The programme is designed to strengthen the capability and confidence of the further education workforce, ensuring teachers and trainers have the up-to-date skills and subject expertise required to deliver high-quality technical and vocational education.
A central pillar of the programme is ensuring that teaching is grounded in real-world practice. Skills Federation, working closely with our members and their employer networks, will play a key role in embedding this approach. Together, we will design and deliver a range of targeted professional development activities to enable teachers and trainers to deepen their understanding of current industry standards, technologies, and practices, ensuring their teaching remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with employer expectations.
