Skills Federation submitted a response to Education Select Committee’s inquiry into ‘Further Education and Skills’. We also responded to requests to provide follow up information and to give verbal evidence to the inquiry.

The inquiry was set up to review the current state of further education in England and the Government’s proposals to strengthen the skills system. The final report published on 23 September contains over 40 recommendations.

In our response, which was prepared with our members, we consider how skills policy can take into account the specific needs of sectors to improve opportunity, boost economic growth and enable government to achieve the missions.
